Stoneware clay, underglaze, glaze, electric fired 18" x 9 "x 3"
Described as "haunting," this wall-hanging piece portrays a personified leaf. The work began as a slab of clay imprinted with a large living leaf and pressed onto a mould, then enhanced to develop the facial features. Coloured underglazes reinforce the somber mood of the piece. Wire hanger on the reverse side. Previously exhibited in the Flora & Fauna Show at Glenhyrst Art Gallery, Brantford, 2020.
